We laid low last weekend.
Travis had a high fever. He also said that his "tummy and eyebrows hurt really bad."
Libby had slammed her hand in our patio door. As a result, one of her fingernails fell off. She treated it gingerly for a couple of days.
(Jamin felt fine.)
Caring for two ailing kids can be exhausting, especially with Travis waking up several times each night. So Scott and I loafed around, too.
Nothing is quite as comforting as chicken noodle soup. I swapped out my usual "get better" recipe to try this instead. I think I have a new go-to sick soup.
Today, Libby doesn't even notice her nail (except when Travis says, "Don't worry. We'll buy you a new one at the finger store"). Travis is mostly better. And Jamin can't wait for his first baseball game tonight... neither can we!
