Travis: Knock knock.


Me: Who's there?


Travis: Coco.*


Me: Coco who?


Travis: Coco's at the door! Hurry!


*For the uninformed, "Coco" is Charlotte, Travis' very favorite aunt... and one of his very favorite people in general. Every time the doorbell rings, he quickly scampers down the stairs shouting, "It's Coco!" in hopes that he'll see her. Apparently, this excitement for Coco's arrival has now made its way into knock-knock jokes.

New Button

Perhaps you have noticed the new button on my sidebar. It's a link to Clarke & Charlotte's adoption blog (still under construction). For those who don't know, Charlotte is Scotty's sister. They are truly an amazing family. They have been through many trials to bring more children into their family, and they're now excited to do so through the miracle of adoption.

The agency they are working with (LDS Family Services) is different from some in that the birth mother selects the family with whom her baby will be placed. Please search your hearts. If you know of anyone who is considering placing a baby for adoption, we ask that you keep Clarke & Charlotte in mind. Thank you.

Imagination

Jamin loves to draw. And we love to see his imagination at work. Below are some of his latest creations, complete with the 4-year-old artist's titles/explanations.

But seriously...

I am blessed to have a wonderful mother who has always loved and guided me. I am blessed to have an amazing mother-in-law who truly is my second mom. And I am blessed to have three sweet munchkins who call me "Mama."

To all moms (and moms at heart), we wish you a happy Mother's Day!

Mischief

We call this one "Captain Destructo."

Don't let those baby blues fool you: he's all mischief.

Whether it's pouring water onto the floor,

or torturing his sister, 

 

or escaping to the neighbors' yard to take a drink from their fountain,

or shredding his food into a million pieces before grinding it into the carpet,

or drawing all over the walls,

or dismantling electronics,

or getting into those out-of-reach cabinets with any chair/stool/box he can find,

Travis always keeps us on our toes.

But like any good mischief maker, he uses his charm to get out of trouble. It's pretty hard to stay mad when he responds, "I did it!" or "Da-dis (Travis) made a mess!" or "Uh-oh! What'd you do?"

I bet we'll have our hands full with this guy.
