When tax season ended, Janine flew down to Arizona so she and Paul could enjoy a road trip home together. We got to spend a fun evening with them before they hit the road. It was wonderful to see you, Nanay & Papa!

Sick days and a music festival
Two weekends ago, Scott and I got hit hard by a nasty bug. Mine resulted in strep and Scott's in a respiratory infection. Thankfully, the kids were fine (especially relieving for Travis, who's scheduled to have his tonsils & adenoids removed next week).
We both felt more sick than we had in years. We would each have windows where we felt okay (relatively), only to be knocked into a high fever and exhaustion a short time later. This went on for quite a few days.
That Saturday, the city of Goodyear held its annual Lakeside MusicFest from noon to 9pm. We had planned to take our family there for a while, but sickness changed things. Thankfully, I felt well enough that evening to catch the last hour of music. It felt amazing to escape our sick house for a while... before strep knocked me off my feet again the next morning.

One year
April 1st marked a year since we moved to Arizona. Since we aren't into April Fool's Day, we dubbed 4/1 Arizona Day and celebrated with shrimp tacos.
While we miss our Idaho family and friends like crazy, this has overall been such a good move for our family. We're happy to be here.
