Scotty and I headed to Utah last weekend. Here's a breakdown of our trip.
Thursday
We hit the road around 4 and arrived in Draper a little after 10 PM. We're pretty sure our hotel sheets were made from a disposable tablecloth, so we barely slept. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for.
Friday
At 6:30, we headed down to Saint George. Harris & Alaina were married at the St. George LDS temple at 12:45. The service was beautiful. That evening, we attended their reception. Alaina asked Harris' family to create a traditional Filipino party. That meant great food, karaoke, toasts, and the money dance. We especially enjoyed the evident love the couple (and their families) have for each other. Best wishes to Mr. & Mrs. Ragasa!
Saturday
After a much better night of sleep, we drove back up to northern Utah. We spent a couple of hours walking around BYU. It was a beautiful day, and we had a great time reminiscing.

We took three classes together there that semester. This is the room where it all started:

It was under construction when we started at BYU, so I ran all over campus initially. In time, this is where my classes, journals, and tech labs were held. A very squinty Alison in the arcade:

They razed the Cluff to build a new life science center. This construction area once housed Scott's classes, labs, and greenhouses:

Due to construction (and time), we missed some places we hoped to see: the dorms where I lived in Freshman year, the Creamery where Scott worked when we were dating, the spot where Scott first said he loved me, and a bunch of other areas we used to eat, walk, and spend time together. We could honestly spend days touring the campus and town where we started life as a couple. It's a very special place to the two of us.
We grabbed lunch with Laurel that afternoon. As always, we had a lot of fun catching up with her! After that, we went to see Greg & Wendy quickly after Wendy's father's funeral. We're thankful that they could set aside some time to introduce us to their adorable son, Burton. What a sweet little man!
From there, we headed home. It was a wonderful trip! We seriously need to spend more time in Utah so we can see all the people and places we love. A huge

He hit on the first swing! Unfortunately, I didn't catch it on camera because I was chasing after someone. Ahem.

A few pitches later, Jamin ran home. He beamed from ear to ear and gave me a huge high-five.
Unfortunately, the rain came down so hard that they only got to play one inning. Bummer. But we had a fun time and are very proud of Jamin! Way to go, buddy!
Libby had slammed her hand in our patio door. As a result, one of her fingernails fell off. She treated it gingerly for a couple of days.
(Jamin felt fine.)
Caring for two ailing kids can be exhausting, especially with Travis waking up several times each night. So Scott and I loafed around, too.
The kids followed the egg trail...
...and found some fun stuff at the end.
Travis couldn't wait to wear the new tie the Easter Bunny brought him.
And Libby loved her new dress (she looks less than thrilled because a certain older brother just took her basket).
In the frenzy of the morning, I didn't get a shot of Jamin in his fancy duds. But he did make me this sweet card all by himself:

(Yes, Travis changed into pajamas. He's going through a phase.)
So is Travis... even in pj's.
The boys spent one afternoon digging in the dirt, looking for bugs. We took out the bug jar and created a habitat for some new roly-poly friends.
These days of fresh air, open windows, and sunshine have felt like heaven.
