Two-egg omelet

Jamin gave his first Primary talk today.

He spoke about the covenants we make at baptism.

Last night, he asked lots of questions, searched the scriptures, and thought about what he wanted to say. I typed it out for him, then he practiced. He asked me to whisper his lines in his ear. First, he felt silly and said potty words instead of his actual talk. I decided it was time for bed. Then, he really wanted to practice it right. When I read, "A covenant is a two-way promise," he misheard me and said, "A covenant is a two-egg omelet. Oops. I mean a two-way promise." We laughed a bunch and finished.

The big moment came at 10:30 this morning. Jamin marched right up to the podium. I stood beside him and whispered the words to his talk. Fully expecting him to mumble incoherently (he's usually shy in new situations), I was shocked to hear him shout his message with confidence. It was adorable.

He did a fantastic job. We are so proud of Jamin for learning, studying, growing, and for sharing his sweet testimony.

We celebrated with olives... just in time for Papa's birthday party.
