We had everything ready for the closing development game: sunscreen, a picnic lunch, and a ball to keep the kids entertained during a fall break afternoon.
When we got to the ballpark, management was packing up and closing down everything. Boo! Apparently, the teams snagged an opportunity to play in the morning (and fly home sooner), so we had missed the game.
The kind manager saw the disappointment on our kids' faces and loaded them up with Reds goodies. Score! Then we had our picnic at South Lake Park instead. Double score!
